TODAY’S PROJECT
I want to show you that there is something for everyone in this suite. Not everyone wants a super challenging project or even a super simple project. Today I’m going to share three project that are all came from the same concept. I started with the super simple card on just Thick Very Vanilla Card [144238]. Just repeating the image can make an impact. This being said, with simple cards you need to make sure its perfect.
Stepping this project up is so simple. As you will see I just took reduced the Very Vanilla Card [106550] down and pop it on some Crumb Cake Card [121685]. I really wanted to keep adding to this project by adding some Linen Thread [104199] and more dimension however it wouldn’t have added but distracted. No one wants this to happen.
Final we come to the more technical card. With this I introduced a mixing of the ink colours in this fun watercolour style. For this I would recommend that you use Fluid 100 Watercolour Card [149612] as you will need to add water. I used the Stamparus [148187] to stamp the images to have the control over where the image was stamped. The ink was applied but inking the image with one colour and then adding a little more on around the edge. Then it’s just adding the water with a Stampin’ Spritzer [126185].

Martin, those watercolor leaves are beautiful. And such amazing attention to detail to get them all lined up!
Ruth Trice says
Thank you for the reminder that simplicity and detail can go hand in hand, beautiful cards.

It really can – I agree with you Ruth! ~ C ~

When you spritz the images (card 3) – how did you keep the edges so sharp? I would think they would bleed out….
Martin Stone says
Only spritz one or twice, anymore than this will course some to bleed out. I’d also recommend spritzing from a distance to get a thin mist.
Yvonne Spikmans says
Such great cards! I’m impressed how you stamped the leaves so in line.. Great idea with this set!
