Hey there, I’m Martin and I live in Redditch in Worcestershire with my partner Sean and our Boston Terrier Winnifred (Winnie for short).
Papercraft has been a passion of mine since I received a DIY card making kit back for Christmas 2005 when I was only 12. Making cards for me was more than just a hobby. As a teenager I suffered with Brittle Asthma resulting in a lot of time being spent at home or in hospital. My parents saw that I need something to be keeping busy during these times and if I’m honest it kept me sane.
I came across Stampin’ Up! by watching American demonstrators on YouTube, which was going to be the start of my journey. I managed to locate my upline via a quick google search and I told her straight away, I want to sign up. Unfortunately as I was around 16 at the time this wasn’t possible. After two long years of being a loyal customer to Stampin’ Up! I signed up on my 18th birthday and the Mayhem began. At this time I had left education due to my health not being stable and was working full time at McDonalds with Stampin’ Up! being on the side.
My Stampin’ Up! family saw potential in me that at that time I did see but with their encouragement I left Stampin’ Up! and went back into education, studying Fine Art. Seven years on I’m joined back as a demonstrator.
While I stayed with Stampin’ Up! For many years, in 2024 I decided to step away and explore the larger Papercraft industry. I hope you stick around for even more crafty mayhem with me.
