The 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge was designed to get us ready for the festive season, earlier than we might have without it. Each day a challenge is posted with a card that I have created for the challenge. If you are joining the challenge then please share them using the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge or join the Facebook page. Links to both are available below.

A little about today’s challenge…
That classic hymn of old that everyone will know. We all know it but is there a way to put a new meaning to the words or even use different imagery with it?
TODAY’S PROJECT
It has been some time since I created a card in this style. The reason is because it takes a little time however every second is worth it. The tattoo style is something that I simply adore but it isn’t necessarily what you would deem a traditional Christmas card. The main design was created with the Beautiful World Stamp Set [152994] but accompanied by the Peace & Joy Bundle [155167].
I’ll admit that I have used retired product for this project in the form of the Journalling Pens Stampin’ Up! used to offer. You can always swap these for a Stampin’ Write Marker in Basic Black [100082]. Or just try with any pen, you’ll just want to give this style a go and it really is super simple. The stamp from Beautiful World Stamp Set [152994] was stamped in Memento Ink [132708]. I used the Memento Ink [132708] because I knew I wanted to create a grey ombre with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends [145058].
This challenge was actually inspired by the Peace & Joy Bundle [155167] because I love the modern feel it has. This being said there is still a juxtaposition between the two elements. I stacked three die cuts of the ‘Joy’ in Basic Black Card [121688], I could have used this as an opportunity to incorporate colour however I fell that this adds more drama.
