The 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge was designed to get us ready for the festive season, earlier than we might have without it. Each day a challenge is posted with a card that I have created for the challenge. If you are joining the challenge then please share them using the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge or join the Facebook page. Links to both are available below.
While this challenge isn’t only for people of Stampin’ Up! this challenge does detail Stampin’ Up! colours. Should you not own or have these colours then please swap them for a similar colour to them detailed.
The colours for today challenge are:
- Real Red
- Smoky Slate
- Basic Grey
Whisper White & Basic Black can be used where they aren’t detailed.
Right you lovely lot, this challenge was hard. These are probably the most non Christmassy colours going nevertheless I managed something. I used the Warm & Toasty Stamp Set . Cartoony stamps aren’t something that I am normally drawn towards. This being said like anything I manage to pull something together.
The polar bear image was stamped in Memento Ink so that I would colour the image with the Stampin’ Blends. Clearly as it is a colour challenge I was restricted to the colour I could use. Luckily however I did have Real Red & Smoky Slate in my Stampin’ Blends collection. You can’t really see it in the image but I used the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend with the Color Lifter to add some shading.
As we can add black and white onto our projects I made good use of using the Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Series Paper . I adore text print paper and while the over side of this sheet is foiled, this side it my favourite. The sentiment is also from the Warm & Toasty Stamp Set and was heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Basic Grey Card .
