It’s my favourite time of the month, I just love it when the OSAT Team comes together for the monthly hop. This month is even more exciting but I love the theme. It’s just so much fun. The theme this month is ‘Chick Ewe Out’, it’s so punny I love it. Of course I had to use the Welcome Easter Stamp Set.
For the project I wanted for the focus to colouring of the images over everything else. After all, I spent a while colouring them images in so I’m going to want you to notice it. I think images like these can be really intimidating, I felt the same you are not alone. However you just have to give it a go and fine how to make it work for you. Personally I love Stampin’ Blends and to get the super soft gradient of colour with the colour lifter. I’m no expert but with practice you will see a difference.
Now I am loving our Subtles collection at the moment and it just walks perfect for this stamp set. They just scream spring. I choose three colours for the card bases; So Saffron, Blushing Bride & Pear Pizzazz. The question I want the answer to is what one is your favourite?
You might be asking why I left the tag uncoloured. I’ve thought about it and the excuse I have come up with is that it will be fun for the kids to colour. The real reason was I couldn’t be bothered and the excuse works pretty well. You might want to include a pack of crayons with the tag just to make it more realistic. Don’t you just love the Welcome Easter Stamp Set – So versatile!

Oh my goodness Martin – these are adorable! I love that you left the tags uncoloured with the pop of colour on the sentiment strip and don’t even get me started on how stinking cute the animals on the cards are!! Amazing my friend!

Adorable tags and cards Martin! Great job! 🙂

Well, unsurprisingly; you’ve done it again! These are so super cute!! I too, love that the tags are not colored in. I won’t choose a favorite because I love them all. Here in the states, we give easter-themed coloring sheets to the littles to color in, so your (ehem…. excuse) works perfectly! Nice job!

Really nice!
Question – on the cards did you add a shadow around the images with Smokey Slate, or is that a natural shadow by popping the image up on dimensional?
Martin Stone says
It’s just shadows from the lights unfortunately! But give smoky slate a go, I’d be interested to see how it turns out
