Oh you guys! I’ve been sitting on this project for months! It honestly feels like a life time and a couple of time I didn’t think it’d make it. As part of my Stampin’ Up! Artisan commitments is to offer up some tips and trick that you might not yet know. Of all the things I signed up to this was my least favourite. This being said I powered through and come up with the ‘No white bits’ tip using the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set.
The term ‘No white bits’ actually came for the idea of people hating sun tan lines. I’m not sure why this came to mind half way from winter but it did. These white bits are just as annoying as the white edges on fussy cut or die cut images. This tip is ideal for when you colour an image on Whisper White and you use the images against coloured card stock.
For the created projected the background is Night of Navy. The flower were stamped in Versamark before heat embossing in white on Whisper White card stock. This gives me the perfect base to get colouring but not practical to sit against the Night of Navy. We are really lucky that Stampin’ Up! understands our love to have coordinating product. I took a Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend and run that along the edge of the write card stock and like that it blended in perfectly.
It just a small change but really makes a big difference to the impact of the project. What makes this card even better is the beautiful imagery from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set. Don’t forget this stamp set can be yours for free with an order of £45|60€. You can view the Sale-A-Bration Catalogues here.
