It’s nearly the weekend! I’m so excited and I have the next couple of days off to relax and hopefully get some crafting done. All The Best

Card Making

22 Oct

Ahhh! It’s Tuesday, which sadly means I’m turning 25 in exactly 7 days. I’m going to be in my mid twenties. I’m still rather unsure of what I’ll be doing to celebrate but I know I’ll be eating my body weight in food! Today’s card is super simple and straightforward with the idea behind it is making the Frosted Florals…

Did I make you jump? If I did I apologise. Yesterday I held my monthy Coffee and A Card class and it was requested we do Halloween & Christmas gift boxes of some sort. Now this automatically filled me with dread, I’m not a 3D papercrafter if I’m 100% honest but I never shy away from a challenge. I thought…

It’s Sunday already! I must say I don’t think I’ve ever felt so nervous about posting about a card in forever. After Thursdays post I have received so much support and encouragement from so many of you. The video I created as a little how too has reached over 32,000 people, so this post has a lot to live up…

Okay, but can we take a moment for these florals? Okay, but can we take a moment for these florals?

I created this card using the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Fragrant Florals from @altenewllc and honestly, that huge floral image does not need much help to look absolutely gorgeous.

I went with soft pinks and deep green leaves, then cut the circular aperture so the “Stay Beautiful” sentiment could peek through from underneath. Of course, I couldn’t leave it there, so we’ve also got foam tape, a bold black sentiment strip, twine doing its own thing and a little scattering of sequins for sparkle.

Soft and elegant… but still with enough going on to keep me happy!

What colour would you use for these flowers? I’m already thinking this would look incredible in blues.

Golden florals on deep green cardstock will always Golden florals on deep green cardstock will always have my heart.

I created this thank you card using the Botanical Elegance Alcohol Marker Coloring Sheets from @altenewllc, colouring the flowers in warm golden tones before cutting them out and building this bold floral arrangement.

I love how dramatic the deep green background makes everything feel, especially with the soft foliage, layered sentiment and all those little finishing details.

Would you keep the flowers golden, or go for something completely different?

Soft greens, sunny daisies and a rather dramatic p Soft greens, sunny daisies and a rather dramatic pink sentiment… this card has a little bit of everything I love 🌼

I created this thank you card using the new Daisy Frame Bundle from the Every Happiness release by @simonsaysstamp.

Rather than using the floral image as one complete frame, I split the design between the top and bottom of the card to create space for that large ombré “Thanks” sentiment. A softly stamped background, vellum shadow layer, iridescent sequins and a little natural thread helped bring everything together without taking attention away from those gorgeous flowers.

Would you keep the daisies yellow, or colour them in a completely different palette?

Products featured are available from Simon Says Stamp.

There’s something about a soft, neutral Christmas There’s something about a soft, neutral Christmas palette that gets me every time. 🤍🌲

For this card I reached for the Sleigh Bells Ring Collection from @rosiestudioinc, layering the beautiful die-cuts to create a woodland-inspired Christmas scene. I love how easy it is to build lots of dimension when everything coordinates so perfectly!

The best part? You can recreate this look using the Sleigh Bells Ring Value Pack, making it a great option if you’re looking to get started with the collection.
