Happy November! I don’t know about you but as the nights get colder and darker, I’m craving that cosy feeling. Clearly that has transferred into my crafting as well. This Knit Sweater Dies [156453] just make you feel all warm and cosy with all the possibilities. I used the dies with our fabulous Embossing Paste [141979].
Stampin’ Up! Kit Sweater Dies
Ugly jumpers for Christmas? Not with these dies! The Knit Sweater Dies [156453] cut out beautiful rows that look like stitching on Christmas sweaters. Take your pick of snowflakes, trees, deer, and geometric designs. Mix and match the strips to create a winter pullover pattern on your handmade card. Place several dies together and run through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to create a peekaboo front that shows the colour underneath. Or use individual strips on their own as fun accents.
Todays Project
By taking one of two of the dies from the Knit Sweater Dies [156453] you can create your own masks. I took a piece of Basic White Card [159228] measuring 6 inches wide, my suggestion is to make the mask larger than you need. After running the dies through a couple of times you will be ready to use it with the Embossing Paste [141979].
Before applying the Embossing Paste [141979] I blended some Real Red Ink [147084] & Cherry Cobbler Ink [147083] around the edge of Real Red Card [106578]. This just adds an intensity to the background. Once the ink is dry you are ready to spread over the Embossing Paste [141979]. I sprinkled over White Embossing Powder from the Basic Embossing Powders [155554]. The reason for this was to smooth over the paste and to give us a cleaner white. Then just heat set with the Heat Tool [129054].
If you know me, you know I love an ink splatter. I was a little unsure however in the end I was so happy I did it. The sentiment is from the Encircled In Warmth Stamp Set [156449], this is a sentiment only Stamp Set but its great to combine with these dies.
