Happy Sunday! I’m so excited for todays post. The Creation Station Design Team are showcasing Specialty Papers. I’m featuring the Cork Specialty Paper which I ended up loving. Bad salesman pitch here but I was totally surprised, who’d have thought it. I paired the Cork Specialty Paper with the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set , it just a great all rounder for the sentiments.
Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set
Get a professional watercolour look with the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set . Create depth by stamping the large flower image in the lightest colour of ink. Then stamp the flower centre in a darker colour. Perfect for get well, birthday, or multi-occasion greetings. This stamp set is also available in French and German.
The Cork Specialty Paper just screamed Boho chic to me, I don’t know about you? This style is all about minimalistic, but the details include having a huge impact. Taking the Layering Circle Dies I die cut the largest circle in the Cork Specialty Paper as well as Basic White , Misty Moonlight & Petal Pink Card. I cut the two-coloured circles in half before cutting the Basic White circle.
Evening Evergreen is my favourite colour at the moment, its just so rich and gorgeous. I die cut a fern leaf die from the Forever Flourishing Dies . This die was a little to big for the circle, so I used my trusted Paper Snips just to trim it down. Have you noticed this trend of mixing embellishments? I have always been a little tentative in doing it, but I think it works really well for this project. The Subtle Shimmer Sequins bring in the white elements of the project whereas the Metallic Pearls bring in the earthly tones from the cork.
There is still plenty of inspiration left on how to use some of our amazing Specialty Papers. If you are already following the hop then you would have arrived here from the amazing Mikaela. Well next up is the talented Julie, make sure you click the button below to hop on over her see her post.
