Happy Sunday! I’m so excited to be back today with the Stamping Sunday Design Team. Today we are saying farewell to Sale-A-Bration by sharing projects with our favourite products. Can you believe it’s almost over?! I had to choose the amazing Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set [156601] which has been my favourite since I had a sneaky peak of the catalogue.
Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set
Want to send a show-stopping card? Then you need the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set [156601]! With hyper-realistic designs of beautiful dahlia florals, this card is sure to wow your audience! You can centre the dahlia image as the main focal point for increased impact or place it off to the side to frame one of many versatile sentiments included in this set. The included outline floral designs also allow you to explore all the colouring techniques your heart desires. This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colours you want. This stamp set is also available in French.
Todays Card
I created this card to celebrate one of my team members who reached Qualified Recruit Status. This means that they reach the first 900CSV in sales as a demonstrator. I’m so proud of them and I know they are really excited too. There are so many benefits when joining Stampin’ Up! And Sale-A-Bration is the best time to join. You can read about some of the benefits here.
Today’s card might be a bit controversial, no everyone likes black card bases. I totally get it but I love the way it just makes all the other colours pop. I stamped the Dahlia in Memento Ink [132708] onto some Basic White Card [159228]. Originally, I was going to colour these in Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends [154893] however mine was running low on juices. I swapped them out for Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends [154884] and added a little Real Red Stampin’ Blend [154899] just to add more depth. The leaves were coloured in Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend [154902] and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend [155521].
My one wish for this stamp set. Coordinating dies. I would have saved my fingers a lot of work. Nevertheless, no work no gain, as they say. I knew I would be using the black card base however I didn’t want the fussy cut line glaring me in the face. To prevent this I used the Basic Black Stampin’ Blend [154843] to colour the line in. It worked a treat. I finished the card up with a ink splatter in white and my favourite embellishment; Subtle Shimmer Sequins [156407].

Hi Martin!
Love this stamp set, although saleabration is over, I will continue to use. You colors are gorgeous and hope to case once I get the flirty flamingos blends. I like how ” finished”things look when you colored the white cut edge with black.
I too love a dark card base!
Your ideas always impress me.
Thanks so much for sharing!
