Stamping Sunday – Stampin’ Up! A Touch of Ink Stamp Set

Happy Sunday! I can’t believe February is basically over. Unfortunately today is also the last day for Sale-A-Bration. I know right? Shut the front door. Don’t worry I’m here to give you some inspiration on how to use one of my favourite freebies. The A Touch of Ink Stamp Set [155233] is just beautiful and works perfectly with the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate [154557].

Todays Project

It’s not often that I create a card with someone in mind. Normally I just make what I want, and they sit in a draw until I need them. This time however I had a recipient in mine, my wonderful Nan turn 90 yesterday so this was created for her.

I knew I needed to use the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate [154557] in a way that doesn’t distract from the other details. With this in mind I created a matted layer measuring a centimetre smaller. By cutting this down 5cm I was able to slip the acetate behind and still pop it up on Dimensions [104430].

I wanted the colour to be the standout part of this project. I used Blackberry Bliss as well as Mint Macaron in conjunction with the flowers and leaves. It’s such a great colour combo to sit with the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate [154557] in the background. To pick up on the gold on in the specialty acetate I incorporating the Gilded Gems [152478], it really just brings things together.
