Happy Monday! Are we all busy getting ready for Christmas? If you are anything like me, you have left everything to the last minute and now regretting your life choices. Nevertheless I seem to do it every year. Well if you need a last-minute Christmas card to send out, I have the card for you using the Tag Buffet Stamp Set . It’s currently on sale so if you wanted to make these cards for Christmas next year make sure you grab it today.
So when I am in a rush, I like to keep it really simple; one or two colours and if I have time throw a technique in there. I selected a few of my favourite Stampin’ Up! Colours; Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Pretty Peacock & Pool Party. Taking the stamps within the Tag Buffet Stamp Set I stamp the images randomly across the top of the coordinating card stock. This is stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed in either Silver or Gold Stampin’ Embossing Powder.
Once I had heat embossed the images, I took the coordinating ink pad to the card used and a Sponge Brayer . By applying the ink onto the card it helps make the embossed images pop from the base. I attempted to ombre the ink down in order to create a little added interest. This piece of card was layered onto the card base, again in the same colour. I embossed the card base with one of two embossing folders; Tin Tile or Dainty Diamond .
