Hello every. Today I am sharing a project I created with the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit[155876]. I have take a few elements from the kit itself and mixed it with some of the supplies that I already had. When you do this it is referred to as ‘alternatives’ as you will be creating something different with the kit. Todays card
I started this card by choosing the colour combination, for me this is always challenging alongside the actual layout of the project. Nevertheless I remembered that I had used a challenging colour combination for the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge. With this in mind I started the card with a Mint Macaron Card [138344] base and matted layer. On the matted layer I stamped the wreath in the Mint Macaron Ink [147106] to create a tonal effect. While this looked great, I wanted to add a little more texture. Therefore I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine [149653] with the Subtle Embossing Folder [151775].
For the centre point of the project I knew that I wanted to use the love foiled dies cut from the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit [155876]. My intention wasn’t to create a Valentine feel to the card however the heart fitted in well with the style. This heart shape was punched in Whisper White Card [106549] using a Heart Punch Pack [151292]. It’s a nice simple way to break up the other elements while drawing the recipient’s eye to the focal point. I coloured the flowers and outlined them with our amazing Stampin’ Blends in the coordinating colours. That’s what I love most about Stampin’ Up products, the coordination.
