Hello and happy November. I don’t know about you but I’m ready and waiting for a busy but exciting month ahead. To kick it all off I am hopping with the Stamping Society to celebrate the release of our latest tutorial bundle using the Poinsettia Place Suite [155109] from Stampin’ Up! This suite is a fabulous combination of products that you will just love. Personally, I love the dies in the suite as it opens your world to paper flowers.
poinsettia Place Suite
All items in the Poinsettia Place Suite [155109] are available individually as well together where you save 10% on the cost of the stamp set & dies. If you can treat yourself to the lot as you’ll want a little of everything. This suite is currently low inventory (because its so fabulous) so if you are wanting it, don’t hesitate.
Today’s Project
I feel in love with the solid poinsettia stamp within the suite, it was basically screaming at me to be watercoloured in. I started by heat embossing the image onto Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper [149612] with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder [109129]. Once this had be embossed in was just about selecting your favourite Christmassy colours. For me, I love Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink [147083] mixed with Shaded Spruce Classic Ink [147088]. They are just fabulous together.
With these images I could have used the Poinsettia Dies [153522] to cut them out however I wanted to avoid any potential white bits. For this reason, I did cut the images out by hand with my Paper Snips [103579]. It wasn’t as hard or time consuming as you might have thought, this is simply because we embossed the edge. I placed the poinsettias on a Very Vanilla Card [106550] that was dry embossed with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder [152718].
