Hi everyone! It feels like forever since I have been able to share with you a project that I have created recently. I do not know about you however I have been in a bit of a rut. Nevertheless, the girls at Stampin’ Though the Catalogue set a challenge in using the In The Pines Stamp Set [153448]. Just what I needed to get me crafting. This stamp set is available in the August – December Mini Catalogue.
I wanted to introduce you to an alternative colour combination opposed to retaining the traditional greens and brow. That’s right, I brought in a little Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink [147052] into the mix for the little pop of colour and to give this project a feminine touch. There still needed to be a need for the traditional green tones. I used the Old Olive Classic Ink [147090], Garden Green Classic Ink [147089] as well Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink [147102]. By mixing the shades/tones of the green it helps to build a scene.
You will note that the project base in one of my favourites go to bases; Crumb Cake Card [121685]. It is a staple in my craft supply and now more than ever. Crumb Cake is the perfect colour for any Christmas projects. Anyway, getting back on topic. Within the In the Pin Stamp Set [153448] is a stamp with lots of little dots, this inspired me to use the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to create little dots. You might as why when there is stamp? Well for this project I wanted the design to be more sparse and by using a marker I achieved this.
