Hello & welcome to the One Stamp at a Time blog hop for November. This month we are celebrating the fast-approaching festive season. We are working under the theme of ‘Glad Tidings We Bring’ which basically means ‘make a Christmas card’. For me, a standout stamp set from the Mini Catalogue is the Peace & Joy Stamp Set. It is fun with the typography featured in the set.
You have seen me previously use this stamp set in a repetitive pattern design before. However, this time around I wanted to incorporate a little pop of colour. I initially wanted a pop of Melon Mambo, instead I switched this out for a classic gold. Amongst the Joy stamped images in black is just one that have been embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder [109129]. This adds a little element to the design to pinpoint our sentiment.
I incorporated the small piece of the Wonder of The Season Specialty Designer Series Paper [153488]. What I love about this paper is the foiling, it is so extra which I love. The sheet that I choose was traditionally white sheet with gold lettering. In addition to adding the paper as it is, I instead brought in the Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack [154843]. I used the blends to colour the white paper and the gold foil resists this. Think of the possibilities! You could have any colour; you might want to go more classic with Old Olive?
