The 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge was designed to get us ready for the festive season, earlier than we might have without it. Each day a challenge is posted with a card that I have created for the challenge. If you are joining the challenge then please share them using the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge or join the Facebook page. Links to both are available below.
A little about today’s challenge…
This challenge is the first of a pair that I created. Today is all about the traditional and classic Christmas. Whether this be from the colour you select or the imagery to use.
The project for today’s card focuses on the imagery aspect of the challenge while incorporating a few traditional colours. I used the Dove of Hope Stamp Set which has these wonderful hand drawn images that are still super easy to colour. You’ve seen me use this stamp set earlier on in the challenge which is so different to this one. It’s so versatile you won’t be short for ideas.
Sometime it is harder to know when to stop with a project and this was one of them. I really wanted to keep going by adding more little bits of gold to this project however I decided to stop. The reason why I stopped is because there is still a lot going on from the olive branch stamp. You’ll also find that the detail is also concentrated in the centre.
I incorporated a few other products into the mix like the Tasteful Labels and the Scripty Embossing Folder . I’m sure you’ll agree the coordinate beautifully with the Dove of Hope Stamp Set . This is what I love most about Stampin’ Up! products how everything just works perfectly together.
