The 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge was designed to get us ready for the festive season, earlier than we might have without it. Each day a challenge is posted with a card that I have created for the challenge. If you are joining the challenge then please share them using the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge or join the Facebook page. Links to both are available below.

A little about today’s challenge…
Water colouring is one of them techniques that’s I love to see what everyone else does but for me it really is a challenge. Which is why I had to include it in the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge.
TODAY’S PROJECT
I wanted to feature a different way of using the Tag Buffet Stamp Set [153612]. The perception of this stamp set might be a little fuddy duddy, well this is what I thought. This being said you can create something modern and trendy. Above all you will end up loving it.
One way that I like to do a contemporary twist on a card is by bringing in bright colours. I instantly was drawn to our Bright Collection of Ink Pads [147150]. All Stampin’ Up! Classic Ink Pads are water based which means they are perfect to create a watercolour effect with. You will just need some staples like Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper [149612] & Water Painters [151298]. Having the right products makes the job so much easier.
I took the bauble from the Tag Buffet Stamp Set [153612] and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder [109132]. By embossing the image it creates a barrier to the ink when it is applied to the Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper [149612]. However you could do it in reverse but creates a water colour area and then stamp the image. Both equally as effective.
