CHALLENGE TILE
A little about today’s challenge:
Who doesn’t love candy canes? Me for one. This theme is pretty easy in relation to how many different directions you can go. From the challenge tiles you can go for stripes or classical candy cane imagery. The world is your oyster.
TODAY’S PROJECT
For today’s project I decided to bring in a little Blushing Bride into the mix. I love how the Blushing Bride complements the Real Red. The candy cane and sweets are from the Sweetest Time Stamp Set [153436]. I love this stamp set and with the candy cane imagery as well as the holly leaves perfect for children card.
I used the Blushing Bride card [131287] as a background for the die cut images. As this was looking a little flat I embossed the Blushing Bride with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder [151801]. It is by far my favourite embossing folder going. Who’s with me? Embossing folders are by far quickest and easiest way of creating an impact. You can use them with the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
There is a lot on this card and with that in mind I didn’t want too much happening with the sentiment. I wanted to keep it simple however I did step it up a little with the embossing on Real Red card [106578]. You see the little strips of patterned paper down the side? for this I just stamped one of the candles from Sweetest Time Stamp Set [153436] in Real Red Classic Ink [147084]. Neat right?
