CHALLENGE TILE
A little about today’s challenge:
Today is our first card sketch challenge. These were super popular on the last challenge so it was a no brainier to bring them back. All you need to do is create a project inspired by this card sketch. Easy.
TODAY’S PROJECT
I’ll be honest, I struggled with this challenge however I love the way it turned out. I mostly focused on the Peace & Joy Bundle [155167]. You’ve seen me use this set recently for the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop however this is a slightly different take on the bundle. When I was creating this card I originally set out to have the work ‘Bright’ on Foam Adhesive Sheets [152815]. This really didn’t work because of how delicate the die is. I’ve learn stacking die cuts work well in these situation.
The word ‘Merry’ was created with our Playful Alphabet Set [152706], these really are a favourite of mine. If you like a good font set then you’ll love this. I’m pretty sure you’ll be seeing it a lot throughout this challenge. The main focus point of this card is the colour. It just pops. Now if you aren’t familiar with Stampin’ Up! colour families all these colours are found in the bright collection. As they are in the same colour family I know they work well together.
One element I struggled with on this challenge was what to replace the snowflakes with. Of course you can use snowflakes however I wanted something else. That’s when I spotted these star burst from Peace & Joy Bundle [155167]. As it wouldn’t be finished without an embellishment, I popped a little Rhinestone in the centre. Who doesn’t love a little bling?
