Hello & welcome to this month’s Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. I’m excited to share some of the projects I have created using the Peace & Joy Bundle. This bundle is featured within the August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue which you can view or request a copy here. I have to say that as soon as I saw this bundle I knew I wanted it.
As you can tell I went I little unconventional with these projects. Basic Black card bases I know, who would have thought it. For me I know the boldness that this creates and allows the other elements to really pop. Just look at the way the Granny Apple Green & Shaded Spruce.
Repetitive pattern is something that I featured quite heavily in both of the cards I created. It’s the quickest and easiest way to build a background. The contrast between the white and black is my favourite part. For the ‘Peace’ card I created the background with the dies in comparison to the ‘Joy’ card which I used the stamps.
I have to admit that I did get a little scissor happy with cutting out the foliage images. As you can imagine there was a few to cut out to fill these projects. The effect however is so worth it. You could use any scissors however our paper snips are so good. They have a really nice sharp tip to them which make them perfect for the job.
Like with anything to do with Christmas cards you need a matching tag. I creating these rosettes as a fun addition to add to something fun to a gift. Alternatively, I think they would also look pretty great on your Christmas tree as a decoration.
