Creation Station – Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set

Happy Sunday! Today I am back with the Creation Station for another super fun blog hop. This month we are featuring the new In Colors from Stampin’ Up! I know this isn’t the first blog post where I have featured the colours however I hope that these projects are something a little different. The cards are created using the really fun Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set, it’s a great sent as I never seem to have a happy birthday stamp.

The brief for these projects for to only use the five new In Colors with the addition of Whisper White only. You didn’t have to use all of the colours but only the six colours. Typically me. I didn’t read the brief properly before and created a completely different project for today. This being said I actually love these projects and how turned out.  The typography within Happiest of Birthdays Stamp is just amazing. I especially love this sentiment. When you have so much going on in the text you really don’t need to have a lot else happening in the background.

The main detail is found in the colours that have been applied direct from the ink pad to paper. I used only three of the colours from the In Colours, they are Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. Choosing these three colours just work amazing together. Which in colour is your favourite? I think mine is Misty Moonlight, it’s just a gem.

With both examples they were actually practice pieces but when I retried to do them the examples did not work out as well. You know happy accidents? I rely too much on it happening but boy do I love it when it happens!
