Hey you guys! I’m really excited for today’s Creation Station blog hop! The theme is so much fun and as soon as I heard it I had this idea on what to make and I actually made it. It’s not normal for things to go to plan like this without a hiccup, for this in come when designing the actual pages. I ended up using the Free as a Bird Stamp Set.
So the theme for this month is ‘What’s On The Inside Count’ – As you can imagine this means that there needs to be very little detail on the outside but make a massive in pact on the inside. I new straight away I wanted to create some time of box something that expends out from it. In the end I created a little sleeve that wrapped around a little mini album.
The outside as the theme dictates was left really simple. I only stamped the little leaf image and placed a stamped from the set. Keeping it really simple. Once to take the sleeve off I continued to have the single image as the first thing you see. This wasn’t essential however I liked the little touch.
The whole concept for this project was based around the colours; Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black (or Memento). With this in mind it limited what over items I could use which while could be annoying allowed me to be more creative. Such as using the Nested Label Dies in to create the little tabs.
For this project as well I wanted to avoid using dimension due to the height as well as it affecting the images. In the end I switched the layouts to so a little journaling followed an image. Also with added some dimension I could add the amazing vellum flowers! I love the Free as a Bird Stamp set for its beautiful images.
