I’ve been super busy of late working my way through this challenge and looking at all your projects. I’m doing my best to get through them all and make sure I like and comment on everything! Please bear with me if I’m running a little behind.
Day 8 is the first season in the challenge; Spring. I wanted to include some the seasons into the challenge to see what we can come up with. I mention using classic imagery from each of the season. Today is spring if I automatically thought of the little lamb from Welcome Easter Stamp Set.
I spent a lot of time working out how to colour this little guy in. My tip for you, it stamp it out a few times on some copier paper. With this you can draw little suns in the corners and work out the darker areas, this is where you add the darker colours. This is something I learn doing GSCE art so it might help you. For this image I colour it with our Stampin’ Blends. They are just fabulous and practice makes perfect.
The background was created with some sponge dauber that had left over ink on. By doing this rather than applying fresh ink I had so much more control over the ink applied. I used a Post It note to create a horizon, I used Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue. While this project seemed a little simple and it still does but that okay. To solve this added a little White Bakers Twine as well as the sequins just to add a little more interest.
