I feel like I need some time of marching band to do an introduction for today’s blog. I am so excited to be introducing you to the fabulous Ornate Garden Suite. This Suite will be available in the 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue but from today it is available to purchase for demonstrators only. Not a demonstrator? When I first received the Ornate Garden Suite I was a little taken aback by the ‘Pow!’ Designer Series Paper. I certainty felt a little blinkered by it at first. Overtime it grows on you and you can really make a statement with this suite. For these projects I featured the Designer Series Paper and these fantastic flowers. You get a total of 4 sheets where on one side you have this gold foiling design, a little like the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. Released today for the second Sale-A-Bration items.
While the flowers are pretty in white and gold, I wanted some colour to stand off the Sahara Sand C6 card base. I coloured the flowers with a sponger dauber and 3 different colours; Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Pool Party. I did this after I had coloured the flowers out. On reflection they would have been easy to colour before cutting. You’ll notice that there are amazing gold rhinestone accenting the card, don’t they just work perfect with the flowers?
The sentiments is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. This is just one of two sets in the suite and so versatile and not just for ‘thank you’ cards. With the flowers making such an impact in the background I made the conscience decision to keep it with the bolder sentiments. In short I could have included some of the more fancy text it would have been lost in the design.

I love these cards! They are beautiful! As is everyone else’s. I’m buying this NOW! The whole suite! I love what’s been done with this suite! Everyone is doing something different. Did you watercolor or use Sponge Daubers to color your flowers? They really look like they are embossed and colored on Vellum cs. Thank you for sharing your creations with us!
