The Creation Station are back today! Exciting right? You should be and I for one am. This month we are working to the theme of ‘Cream of the Crop’. If you are pulling a weird face right now do not worry; all will become clear. The brief was to create an interactive project using our favourite Stamp Set, mine of course is the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.
Now I don’t know well my project fits the brief but I think it’s cute and that has to count for something. I’ve created vellum envelopes in the past but never quite like this. I designed the envelope myself and created a template which you can download here. The reason for the envelope being created in vellum is so you can see our amazing Subtle Sequins through. By putting these within the envelope you have a different take on a shaker card.
The Positive Thoughts Stamp Set was perfect to decorate the envelope. The foliage stamp was stamped directly onto the envelope with Versamark and heat set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I left this to go down the right side only so there was plenty of clear area to see the sequins. As there is a lot going on I just added a strip of Blushing Bride to fit behind the butterfly image that was heat set in copper.
Of course we need a card to go inside of the envelope. I kept this really simple by just matting a piece of whisper white onto some Soft Sea Form (which I am loving recently). I stamped the foliage in the coordinating Soft Sea Foam Ink and also heat set the butterfly in copper. You will want to place these behind the sequins.

You might have arrived here from the amazing Jennifer Downey, however you will be wanting to head over the crazy talented Mikaela Titheridge. I cannot wait to see what they have both created!

Well, no wonder you are a Stampin’ Up Artisan! Your shaker envelope and card are beautiful. I never would have thought of dong this, but I’ll certainly be trying this in the future. Thanks for the inspiration! xoKathyxo
