Happy Sunday! Right I won’t lie, I was a little disorganised and totally forgot to write this blog. One thing that I didn’t forget however was to create today’s project. The Stamping Sunday Design Team are featuring our favourite Sale-A-Bration items. Mine is one you have seen yet and will be available from 3rd March, I know its mean of me. Drum roll please, I am using the Well Dressed Stamp Set.
Now I know some of you out there dread male cards which I totally understand. I don’t like them either. This being said I actually really I enjoyed creating this card, gift box and tag. This stamp set made it easy but the imagery does lend itself that processional male in your life. In order for the images to stand out from the background I heat embossed the images onto Whisper White card stock in basic black.
Sometimes we need to create our own detail for a project. At this time I am loving ink blending and for this card I used Balmy Blue, Pacific Point as well as a little Crushed Curry. While this might seem a little strange it adds another level to the card and also a little green. I have got a video tutorial on creating an ink blending background here.
One another note, let’s talk about this little gift box. I previewed the measurements over on the Instagram Story the other week and it surprised people when I said I really dislike making boxes… Honestly it’s too much maths for my brain to handle – If you love making them then kudos to you. The tag was created to coordinate perfectly with the card and tired to the box with the Whisper White Seam Binding Ribbon.
