Happy Sunday! Today the Stamping Sunday Design Team are featuring the Peaceful Poppies Suite by Stampin’ Up! This suite is amazing and you will have plenty of inspiration to get your teeth into.
There is such a large colour range incorporated within this suite that you will never be short for choice. For today’s projects I chose to only feature a few of the colours as well as some of the smaller accessories that you might have just overlooked. Pool Party is just the perfect colour fir the bases as it just allows the other colours to pop.
There are two stamp sets in this suite; one which is just image and the other just text. Rather than using the Poppy stamps I decided to work with the Peaceful Poppies Elements. These elements are brilliant and you will be spoilt for choice. In this pack of elements you will received a mixture of vellum images, black embossed shapes and above all embossed images on watercolour paper.
You might not be comfortable in water colouring which is why I’m going to let you into a secret. By taking a Stampin Write Marker you can colour over the top of the image and it’ll have the same effect. That being said, you could add little drips of water over and using tissue dab off some of the colour to add texture.
I wanted to create plenty of details on the projects to make all the little things count. With this in mind adding elements just as the stamped backgrounds help compliment the main focal point. For the tags created I used the Poppy Moments Dies to create the flower. It’s hard to tell from the image but I cut them from Fluid 100 paper which has an ink wash before cutting.
