Today is the days when the boys all come together to share what we love about card making. That’s right, The Gentleman Crafters are hopping today and I am using the Honey Bee stamp set which I know has been a very popular set so far. The purpose of the TGCDT blog hop is to share what we love and there is nothing I love more than grabbing my journaling pens and create some geometric design.

I understand that creating your own designs can be a little scary but it is really simple. I found some geometric shaped templates online and as soon as they came I could start drawing. You could even create your own templates. I find it so freeing to be able to come up with my own complimentary designs quickly and easily.

The design aspect is identical to one you might fine designed for a tattoo. This might not be to everyone’s liking however it opens card making industry to a completely different audience. I personally see cards in design like this perfect for masculine cards as well as that awkward teenager. The journaling pens and just perfect to either write or draw your own designs, there are two differently thicknesses available which will give you plenty of verity.

Ink splatter on the background is something that I’m featuring a lot in my projects. By adding this small detail it helps fill any empty space that you might want filling. I used the Basic Black Blend in Dark and swiped the brush end against the lid toward the card base. Imagine the array of colours you have to choose from with all our Stampin’ Blends?
