Happy Tuesday! Today we have slight change in schedule however there is a reason. Over on Instagram there is a team of amazing talented women who post under the name ‘Stamping through the Catalogue’. They are hosting a challenge today featuring the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. You can follow them here.
The Painted Poppies stamp set only has images, this means you can add any sentiment for any occasion. I took a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and heat embossed it onto Basic Black card stock. By choosing to keep the sentiment black and sent it helps to being the whole card together. Just think about how the dynamic of this project could change but just introducing one other colour?

Now I am aware I have recently shared a project very similar in style to this one, this being said it’s a style that I adore. You can view that post here. It could not be simpler to recreate with our journaling pens. The images were stamped in Memento Ink with a mask being created to create the overlap. Before removing the mask I took the Basic Black Stampin’ Blend to create splatter effect. I used a die from the Layering Circle Dies as the template for the dots and a ruler for the straight lines. It’s the little details.
The black and white striped paper is from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper. This pack of paper can be yours for free with an order of £45/60€. It is truly a beautiful pack of paper with gold foiling on one side.
