So what do we all think of the different layout? You might be new here and not actually notice a different but I thought it was time to invest in my blog a little. There’s still so much that I want to do and change but all in good time. I don’t plan on going anywhere just yet!
Right today’s card was made after having a proper nightmare, I mean it was terrible. I love watercolour effect backgrounds just as much as the next one but this technique sometimes have a mind of its own. While I love the outcome and the vibrancy I wanted something a little more looser, does that make sense? But as it didn’t work out I wasn’t going to not finish the card in another way, which is the card you have now. You’ll just have to wait for the other one, sorry not sorry.
I absolutely love how versatile Stampin’ Up Ink Pads are! You can just do so much with them and this watercolour technique is my favourite. I took four colours from the Bright Colour Family; Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape and finally Granny Apple Green. You can use any of the amazing Stampin’ Up Colours together though. Should you want to achieve this effect but looking for a cheaper alternative to the Stampin’ Up Ink Pads you have two options – buy the Reinkers and some Stampin’ Spots to make your own or the much simpler buy the Stampin’ Write Markers.
I will be back on Wednesday and as it’s the first of the month it’s time for the new publication of the Stamping Society’s Video Tutorial Bundle. How exciting! And to top it all off we are using my FAVOURITE stamp set Tea Together. I can’t wait for you all to see my projects and the other ladies. You’ll also notice someone a little different which is also exciting!
