It always surprises me how quickly this the second Thursday of the month comes around. This date is also know in my diary as OSAT. It one of my favourite times of the month as I get to sit down and scroll through some amazingly talented Demonstrators. Keep following this blog towards the bottom and feed through them just like I will be doing.
This months theme was ‘Spring Fling’. This is definitely a very open ended theme, like where do I start? I pondered a little over if I should go down the Love element to the theme, or event do some type of spring themed cards with seasonal flowers etc. In the end I settled on the idea of spring colours primarily. Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green scream spring right? If you don’t agree it’s a little too late…
The whole way through the Spring Summer Catalogue I have been a little bit disappointed that we didn’t get a larger solid butterfly. To be honest I only have myself to blame. The Beautiful Butterfly Thinlits offer some different shapes butterfly’s that are easy to cut out, but because I was too busy being moody I didn’t take things back to basics. I created the butterfly by die cutting the Thinlits shape and then draw around the shape and cut it out. That simple. Yes I know it is a little effort as it’s not as easy as running it through the Big Shot however it’s worth it. I made a batch of these while sitting in front of the TV, distracts you from world.
Are you bored of seeing these flowers yet? I hope not because they are gorgeous! I’m using the same colour combination that you’ve seen me use before and the video below demonstrates how it’s coloured. It’s only a quick introduction but you’ll get the gist.
So this is my final post before On Stage! I’m so excited, I’ve been a little stressed in making my swaps but I know they will all be well received. I’ve made a total of 50 and there’s still a lot of work to do but it’ll be worth it I’m sure. I love being able to spend time with my Stampin Family, have a good chinwag and gossip. Some of the ladies I have seen in between 6-7 years so a lot to talk about.

What a smart idea to trace around the butterfly and fussy cut to get the solid image! Smart!
