After what seems like a very busy long weekend I’m so excited to be back posting and getting back into posting. It seems like forever doesn’t it? Do not worry, as I said it was it’s been a busy weekend while I’ve been planning the next few weeks projects. I cannot wait to share them with you but at last I can. You will have to wait.
Blooms With Happiness – Stampin’ Up! Varied Vases Stamp Set
One thing about posting my creations to the world is you put yourself in a vulnerable place for criticism but also a lot of praise and support. I never expected to receive people posting their creations that they have made after being inspired by me. It’s a little unreal but it really nice to see. Something tells me that today’s card is not going to be one of the card you all rush off to recreate. The flowers are from the Tea Room DSP and I spend a couple of hours cutting these flowers out in front of the TV at night, I wouldn’t recommend you rushing through this or trying to cut them out in a rush.
If you’ve followed me for a while you know that I love DSP however I don’t tend to use it, mostly because I like to hoard it away and only get it out on special occasion (normally just to look at). Well I’m being good and trying to get some use out of it. The sheet of DSP that the flowers are from is super pretty but I really wanted the contrast between the coloured flowers against the Whisper White. As I knew the flowers would be put against the Whisper White I really didn’t want any of the blue peeking through. Which is why I spent plenty of time making sure I got right the the edges and cut out the tiny spots between the flowers.
I briefly mentioned in the video how I was going to the space empty between the flowers empty, however it just seemed far to stark. I did ponder on how to fill the space, I went through the normal methods on filling space , Rhinestone, Pearls but something seemed just right. By using the fine tip journal pen to create little dots it just helps to fill that space and goes in the sentiment.
I’m so excited for Thursday project! I’ll be back with the One Stamp At A Time hoppers and this months theme is Spring Fling. How cute? I wonder how we are all going to interpret this theme, love maybe, flowers or bees? I can’t wait to see so make sure you come back to check it out.
