What says Spring more than butterflies? I was going to say I bet your all sick to death of them however we all know that’s just not possible! You all know I love them and it’s been a while since I’ve actually used the Duet Butterfly Punch so why not whip it out and blow of the dust.
You know I’m not a big user of colour and this card is no different. I wanted the card to extrude elegance but also be versatile enough for you to switch the sentiment for any occasion. Does anyone else keep card designs left without sentiments just waiting for that last minute rush, I can’t be the only one!
We always like to add this that and the other to our cards which is great but sometimes it’s just not needed. What’s the saying about clothing? “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off” I believe this was Coco Chanel who said this; she did well for herself so I think we should listen. Coco Chanel is must famous for her Black and White designs, two tones that complement each other but stand elegantly together. This is why Going Grey and Whisper White work so well together to create this elegant look.
This card is one of two very similar design with the other coming up a little later on. I love the way the butterfly punched shapes are clustered together. Isn’t this a fun way to use your punches, like image it was a cluster of flowers? A-MAZ-ING. will you beat me to it? My original idea for this card was actually to sew these onto the card, but that didn’t feel right so that’ll be a technique for another day.
You know it’s been a few weeks of this only posting twice a week and it’s been really different for me, however I’m getting more time to craft and I think I’m make so much more exciting cards. I really hope you are all enjoying as much as I am. Make sure you all stay tuned because I love seeing your reactions to my creations.
