The weekends just go so quickly and as it’s my only real chance to craft and be creative. What I would do to get an extra 24 hours! Sadly this isn’t going to happen soon so I’ll just need to find the a little extra time from somewhere, or I’ll have to bring it all downstairs just to annoy Sean. I’m sure his favourite past time is moaning so I’m sure he would appreciate it.
Anyway today’s card is for the second Strawberry Blog Hop. For those of you who aren’t aware Stampin Up Demonstrator nowadays have expansive dynasty with some demonstrators have 8 to 9 levels to their team if not more. My stamping family see my direct upline being Sarah Berry and her upline being Michelle Last; this makes me a third generation Pinkie and second generation Strawberry. Does this make sense? I hope so. When joining as a demonstrator you don’t just get that one demonstrator for support but you get a wide range of creative people.
The theme for this week is florals. I love florals and making cards with flowers which Stampin’ Up gives us an abundance to choose from. You’ve already seen my love the the flowers from the Tea Together Stamp Set however I wanted to show an more graphic way of using the stamp with a lot less supplies. The previous card was heavily technical with this that and the other happening. I wanted to keep this one a lot more simple however I couldn’t help but do something a little different.
Once I had stamped the flowers onto the Mint Macaron I felt I wanted them to stand off a little more. I considered scrapping what I had done and go for the flowers to be heat embossed but this just wasn’t fulfilling the aim for the card. This is when I remember there is a coordinating blend, the next part was which one to use, I personally used a piece of scrap just to test out the blends, I didn’t wait to see it dry though, learn from my mistake and wait.
Posting for the up coming week is slightly different due to the Stamping Society Blog Hop as we release the second video tutorial batch. This time it’s only available in the 3 ways detailed on the dedicated page. One way is joining my team, The Magic Mayhems. However referring you back to the start of this post, you’ll be second generation Magic Mayhem, third generation Strawberry and four generation Pinkie. Be apart of a legancy and join today.
