Ahhh! It’s Tuesday, which sadly means I’m turning 25 in exactly 7 days. I’m going to be in my mid twenties. I’m still rather unsure of what I’ll be doing to celebrate but I know I’ll be eating my body weight in food!
Today’s card is super simple and straightforward with the idea behind it is making the Frosted Florals the centrepiece. This DSP is pearlescent and just so pretty. I sometimes fine that big bold patterns scare me, which is why you don’t see me use a lot of it in my projects. This card demonstrates that fear but highlights how pretty the DSP is.
In this pack of DSP you get two large floral designs, personally the one I chose with all the colour is my favourite but the over bold one is equally as lovely but not for this card. I took a piece of the paper rather uneconomically, basically from the middle of the sheet. You can judge me if you want, I know it’s not the best thing to do and I wouldn’t recommend it but it’s worth it. I layered this onto a piece of Basic Black card stock measuring 4MM bigger in length and width.
The base is a standard C6 size card in Whisper White withe the DSP being placed in the upper centre of the card. For the sentiment I used the coordinating stamp set First Frost. I brought in my Stamparatus just so I could align where I wanted it and stamp it exactly.
Now if you follow me on social media you’ll know that today s a special day, it’s Stampin’ Up’s 30th Birthday. To celebrate they are offering 15% off selected stamp set that are available in the Annual Catalogue. If you weren’t aware, click the ‘Shop online’ tab above and have a nose through.
See you around!
