Happy Tuesday! How are we all?
It’s very nearly mid week and I need to get crafting, very soon I need to get a move on with my October card swap which I’m sure you are also very excited to see. I’m completely clueless on what to do other than I want to try can do a standard C6 size. All my swaps so far have been smaller and I feel a little bad about it so watch this space.
Keeping with the theme of card size, on Sunday you saw a 4×4 card and today your going to get another today. I have multiple cards lined up ready to show off so I let Sean choose today’s cards and in his words “it’s the least offensive card”, I hope your partners are more supportive of your hobby.
I’ve had the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set sitting around a while and really wanted to use. So I made a point of locking myself away with it until I made a card. This is the outcome. I started with a 4×4 card base in Balmy Blue and using the decorative mats with some embossing paste. I heat set this without putting any powder on top, one I didn’t know you could and two imagine the mess? I’m sure it’s worth it but I don’t have time for that!
For the main element of the card I used a piece of Whisper White grabbed the stamp with the three dandelions on and stamped it in Memento Ink. While I was here I always stamped the sentiment, this laid on top of the card was that impressive and I felt needed a little something else. I used the Everyday Label punch to create the little indents in the corners.
I wanted to also bring the black ink into the card a little more, to create the black scallops at the bottom I used the heart from the Up & Away Thinlets and place the upside down. I popped this up onto dimension before finishing the card off with some white twine, I wrapped this around 3 times before finishing in a bow.
That’s today’s card all done and dusted. I hope you like it, let me know if there’s any stamps you would like to see used and I’ll see what I can do.
See you around!
