Creative mayhem in every layer | TV Demo | Creator of #SketchMayhem | Teaming up with brands that embrace the creative mayhem.

Soft florals, layered details, and a bold dark bac Soft florals, layered details, and a bold dark background… honestly one of my favourite combinations lately 🌸✨

This card was created using the beautiful Floral Trio Die Set from @alexsyberiadesigns and I’m obsessed with how much dimension these flowers give with just a little ink blending and layering.

I kept the florals soft and fresh with pinks, peaches, and greens, then paired them with a deep green background to really make everything pop. Finished off with splatter, sequins, and a little twine detail because apparently I physically cannot stop adding embellishments 😅

The embossed detail in these dies makes ink blending so easy and gives the petals so much depth with minimal effort — definitely one of those sets you keep reaching for.

What colour combo would you try with these florals? 👀

One of the questions I get asked ALL the time is… One of the questions I get asked ALL the time is… “Why are you colouring around your stamped images?” 👀😂

So I thought I’d reshare this old reel because honestly… this little trick makes SUCH a difference!

Instead of fussy cutting and leaving a harsh white edge, I use a marker in a similar colour to the cardstock behind the image and lightly colour around the outside edge. It softens everything, helps the image blend into the design, and gives that finished “printed die-cut” kind of look ✨

In this reel I used a soft green around the florals and foliage to tie everything together — and yes, it’s one of those tiny details that your eye notices even if you don’t realise why the card looks more polished 😅

It’s quick, easy, and one of my favourite ways to level up die cuts and stamped images without adding extra layers or bulk.

Have you tried this technique before? Or are you now staring at your markers thinking “well now I HAVE to try it…” 😂

There’s just something about a bold floral against There’s just something about a bold floral against a dark background that makes me ridiculously happy 🌸✨

For my card for the Altenew May 2026 Release Instagram Hop, I created these layered dahlias in soft pink tones with pops of fresh green leaves against deep navy cardstock. The contrast in real life is SO good!

I love how dimensional these flowers become once everything is layered together — and of course I had to finish it off with ink splatter, twine, and a few sparkly sequins because apparently I’m physically incapable of stopping before “just one more detail” 😅

The new release is packed with gorgeous florals, backgrounds, sentiments, and creative goodies, and I’d love to know… what’s your favourite item from the release so far? 👀
