Card Inspiration – Chic Birthday Shoes

For this card, I wanted to create a fun, feminine birthday design that feels celebratory and full of texture.

The pastel colour palette paired with florals and glitter accents helps the shoes really stand out while still feeling soft and elegant.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create an A2 card base using lilac cardstock.
2. Cut a slightly smaller lilac panel and adhere it to the card base using foam tape for dimension.
3. Die cut the Chic Shoes from white cardstock and add a soft embossed texture to the shoe panels for extra interest.
4. Cut a shadow layer for the shoes from purple cardstock and adhere the white layers on top.
5. Die cut several flowers and leaves from pastel coloured cardstock and arrange them around the shoes to create a floral frame.
6. Add glitter bows to the shoes for a fun and sparkly detail.
7. Wrap twine vertically around the panel and tie a bow at the top for added texture.
8. Splatter white paint across the background for a playful effect.
9. Stamp and die cut the sentiment “Have Fun On Your Birthday” and adhere it across the centre of the shoes.
10. Finish the card with sequins for extra sparkle.

This design is perfect for creating a statement focal point while keeping the rest of the card playful and celebratory.
