Card Inspiration – Thank You Floral Card

For this project, I wanted the florals to be the true focal point, so I kept the background soft and clean while adding dimension with layers.
The Tulips and Daffodils Press Plate creates such a crisp impression that it almost looks hand-drawn once coloured. I used the coordinating stencil set to quickly build colour in the petals and leaves, which makes achieving that blended, dimensional look incredibly easy.
Once coloured, I die cut the floral arrangement and popped it up with foam adhesive onto a soft pink panel. A little white splatter adds a touch of texture and movement across the card.
The finishing touch is a delicate sentiment layered across the flowers, which ties the whole design together while keeping the focus on the beautiful floral image.
Step-by-step instructions
- Press the Tulips and Daffodils Press Plate onto smooth cardstock using a BetterPress or similar letterpress system with black ink.
- Use the coordinating stencil set to colour the florals, blending soft pink tones for the tulips, warm yellows for the daffodils and fresh greens for the leaves.
- Die cut the floral arrangement using the coordinating die.
- Create a soft background panel using pink cardstock and adhere it to a card base.
- Lightly splatter white paint across the background for subtle texture.
- Adhere the floral arrangement to the card using foam adhesive for dimension.
- Stamp and die cut a sentiment and layer it across the floral stems.
- Finish the card with a few iridescent sequins for a little sparkle.
This layout is perfect when you want the floral image to take centre stage while still keeping the card clean and elegant.
