Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 9 of the challenge! Today’s theme is Tinsel Trouble — a playful prompt that’s all about embracing the chaos of Christmas crafting. Think tangled lights, glitter explosions, and those wonderfully messy moments that somehow make the season even more magical.

Daily Challenge

Tinsel Trouble invites you to have fun with imperfection — lean into the sparkle, the shimmer, and maybe even a little bit of glitter mayhem! Here are a few ways to bring the prompt to life:
- Create a scene of tangled fairy lights or looping garlands.
- Use glitter or sequins liberally (and unapologetically!).
- Add a touch of humour with playful sentiments or cheeky elements.
- Try layering metallic cardstock or using foiled details to mimic that holiday shine.
It’s the perfect opportunity to capture the joy and laughter that come with the season — because sometimes the best cards are the ones that sparkle just a bit too much.
Today’s Project

For today’s card, I used the Festive Tree & Wreath Die Set from Alex Syberia Designs to capture the spirit of Tinsel Trouble. I built up the tree in rich, layered greens, giving it beautiful depth and fullness. The die-cut garland added a playful sense of movement, and the scatter of sequins gave just the right amount of festive shimmer — perfectly imperfect in all the best ways.
To finish, I added a bold red sentiment across the centre and a glowing star topper to pull the whole design together. The soft aqua background brings a frosty calm that balances out all that joyful glitter chaos.
This project is a reminder that sometimes, Christmas creativity shines brightest when things get a little tangled.
