Daily Challenge

Colour challenges are all about how you interpret balance and mood through your palette. Whether you lean toward a bold and graphic look or something soft and serene, these hues can work beautifully together. A few ideas to get you started:
- Feature Poppy as your main accent colour with hints of Evergreen foliage and Sea Glass backgrounds.
- Try colour-blocking — three panels, one in each shade, for a modern twist.
- Add metallics or neutrals (like gold or white) to give your project a refined edge.
- Use vellum or layered die cuts to soften transitions between the bold tones.
And there’s a little extra reason to join in today — one lucky participant will win a $25 gift certificate from Concord & 9th! Simply share your project in the Facebook group to be in with a chance.
Today’s Project

For my take on the challenge, I wanted to show how these colours can stretch beyond traditional Christmas imagery. I combined the Flower Medley Bundle — which isn’t a holiday set — with elements from the Love and Light Bundle to craft a festive floral design that still feels seasonal.
The Poppy red blooms bring a bold focal point, grounded by Evergreen leaves and balanced with Sea Glass accents for a cool, wintry contrast. Layered die-cuts add dimension, while a touch of twine gives a simple rustic finish. A few sequins from Concord & 9th’s Neutrals Sequin Assortment add just enough shimmer to tie everything together.
The result feels joyful and unexpected — a reminder that you don’t need Christmas-specific supplies to create something perfectly festive.
