If you’re like me, Altenew release days feel like a little holiday. The September 2025 collection is here and it’s full of beautiful new goodies—from bold florals to metallic finishes. I’ve picked out my top favourites (and what I’ll be ordering), plus a few I think will be popular with the crafting community.

Magical Metallic Ink Bundle (My Wishlist)
If you only buy one thing this month, let it be this. The bundle includes Bronze, Silver, and Platinum metallic inks plus their reinkers, giving you a complete set of shimmering colour. These are intensely pigmented and perfect for:
- Painting die cuts or stamped images
- Ink blending for a metallic sheen
- Adding splatters or edging to elevate a simple background
They’re the kind of inks that will slot into your everyday crafting but feel extra-special whenever you use them.
Solid Sentiment Strips (Gratitude Edition)
The sentiment strips were a hit the moment they dropped, and it’s easy to see why. This edition lets you stamp or press an entire sheet of sentiments at once—then cut them into perfect strips. It’s a batch-making dream, whether you’re prepping for Christmas, building your card stash, or finishing a design in a hurry. Clean, modern fonts mean they’ll work with every style.

Cozy Sweater 3D Embossing Folder
Texture lovers, this one’s for you. The Cozy Sweater folder gives you that knitted, tactile look in seconds—perfect for autumn and winter cards. Use it on plain white for a subtle background, ink it up for dimension, or pair it with metallics for cosy-chic vibes. It’s a quick win that makes your projects look detailed without much effort.
Craft-A-Flower: Asters Layering Die Set
The Craft-A-Flower series is always a highlight, and the Asters are no exception. With multiple layers, you can create blossoms that have depth and movement. They’re ideal for late-summer/autumn cards and pair beautifully with warm palettes or jewel tones. If you love die cutting, this is the kind of set that will quickly become a go-to flower in your stash.

Fine Woodgrain Press Plates/Foil Plates
Foiling and letterpress are still trending, and this woodgrain design adds understated texture that works year-round. Use it as a subtle background with inks, or go bold with foiling in gold, silver, or even colourful foil rolls. It’s one of those “quiet heroes” that you’ll use far more than you expect because it goes with absolutely everything.
The Metallic Ink bundle and Sentiment Strips in particular are moving fast, so don’t wait too long if they’re on your wishlist. I’ve already missed out on the bundle.
I’ll be picking up the Metallic Inks straight away (I can already picture splattered backgrounds for Christmas cards) and I’m definitely grabbing the Sentiment Strips for batch-making.
