Today I’m sharing a fun and whimsical card that’s truly out of this world! Created with the Out of This World Stamp and Die Set from Simon Says Stamp, this project combines playful imagery with dreamy colours to create a card perfect for sending love across the galaxy. Whether it’s for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or simply to let someone special know you care, this design is sure to bring a smile.

Card Inspiration – Love You to the Moon and Back
For this card, I wanted to create a playful love-themed design with a soft, dreamy palette. The background is kept in soft lilac tones with stamped and heat-embossed star details, while the adorable astronaut takes centre stage in a bold purple rocket. Scattered planets and sequins add movement and sparkle to complete the scene.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Background: Cut a panel of lilac cardstock and stamp star accents randomly across the background. Heat emboss them in white for a crisp, bright look. Add some splattered white paint for extra texture.
- Sentiment: Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment “Love You to the Moon and Back” in white at the bottom centre of the panel.
- Astronaut & Rocket: Stamp the rocket and astronaut images from the Out of This World set. Colour them with your favourite markers or pencils (I used shades of purple and pink for a playful, cosmic look). Die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
- Planets & Moon: Stamp, colour, and die cut a selection of planets and a moon from the set. I chose soft pinks to balance against the purple rocket.
- Assemble: Adhere the rocket with foam tape for dimension, then arrange the planets and moon around the scene. Add sequins for extra sparkle.
- Card Base: Mount the finished panel onto a coordinating lilac card base to complete the look.
