Today I’m sharing an elegant floral encouragement card created using the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Fragrant Florals from Altenew.
The beautiful floral arrangement does much of the hard work on this design, creating a striking focal point across the top of the card. I coloured the flowers in soft pink tones before pairing them with deep green foliage, a circular sentiment window and a smaller supporting sentiment.
A little natural twine and a scattering of iridescent sequins complete the design without taking attention away from those gorgeous flowers.

For this project, I wanted the florals to frame the sentiment while still remaining the main focus of the card. Cutting a circular aperture into the floral panel creates a natural home for the larger sentiment and adds some extra dimension to an otherwise clean design.
The smaller black sentiment strip overlaps the aperture, connecting the floral panel and sentiment area while adding a strong contrast against the soft pink and white colour palette.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create a white landscape card base and set it aside.
- Stamp the large floral arrangement from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Fragrant Florals onto a piece of smooth white cardstock.
- Colour the flowers using a selection of soft pink and deeper rose shades. Add darker colour towards the centres and overlapping areas of the petals to create depth.
- Colour the leaves using several shades of green, keeping the deepest tones close to the veins and bases of the leaves.
- Add warm yellow and orange tones to the flower centres and smaller hanging buds.
- Trim the coloured panel so that it leaves an even white border when positioned on the card base.
- Die-cut a circle from the lower-right section of the floral panel, making sure that the aperture does not remove too much of the coloured image.
- Temporarily position the panel over the card base and stamp the “Stay Beautiful” sentiment through the circular opening. Remove the panel once the sentiment has been stamped.
- Add foam tape to the back of the floral panel and adhere it to the card base, ensuring that the stamped sentiment is centred inside the aperture.
- Loop a length of natural twine around the right-hand side of the aperture, allowing some of the ends to fall loosely across the card.
- Heat emboss the secondary sentiment in white onto black cardstock. Trim it into a narrow strip and adhere it across the lower section of the aperture using foam tape.
- Finish the card with a scattering of iridescent sequins around the sentiments and floral arrangement.
