Card Inspiration – Bold Spring Florals

For this card, I really wanted to push the contrast and make those florals pop. The deep blue background acts as the perfect backdrop for the bright yellows and pinks, giving a slightly dramatic but still fresh spring feel.
I also kept the layout quite full and flowing, letting the florals frame the card and draw your eye into the centre sentiment. A few splatters and sequins finish it off beautifully without overpowering the design.
Step-by-step instructions
- Press the Tulips and Daffodils design onto smooth white cardstock using black ink.
- Colour the florals using alcohol markers – I used bright yellows for the daffodils and vibrant pinks for the tulips, with rich green tones for the leaves.
- Carefully die cut or fussy cut the floral elements.
- Trim a panel of deep navy cardstock and adhere it to your card base.
- Add white splatter across the background for a soft, textured effect.
- Arrange and adhere the florals around the edges of the panel, allowing some to overlap for depth.
- Stamp and die cut your sentiment, then adhere it to the centre using foam adhesive for dimension.
- Finish with a few sequins for a subtle touch of sparkle.
