Card Inspiration: Have a Beautiful Day
This card is a celebration of soft colour, dimension, and movement. I reached for a delicate pink colour palette and let the floral trail do all the talking. Here’s how you can recreate this look:
- Base Prep: Start with a soft pink card base. Cut an additional pink panel slightly smaller than the card front for layering.
- Stamp & Colour: Stamp the floral trail image from the Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail set in black ink onto white cardstock. Colour it using alcohol markers (I used Altenew Artist Markers for their blendability). Stick to shades of pink and green to keep the palette fresh and cohesive.
- Die-Cutting: Use the coordinating Add-on Die to cut out the stamped floral image for perfect, crisp edges.
- Background Interest: Add light stamped florals from the same set to the pink panel using a watermark or tone-on-tone ink to create subtle detail. Splatter white paint or ink for texture.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment “Have a beautiful day” in white embossing on pink cardstock and die-cut or fussy cut it out.
