Card Inspiration – Yay! Proud of you
This card pulls together layers of colour, movement and texture for a bold, modern look — and the message couldn’t be clearer: Yay! I’m proud of you.
- Create the base – Start with a top-folding A2 card base using Blueberry cardstock from Concord & 9th. Cut a second panel from the same cardstock and use this as the main background for your focal design.
- Create the starburst background – Use the large pennant die as a mask, rotating it outwards from the centre to mimic a starburst effect. Ink blend Midnight ink over the top of each masked section to create those striking rays.
- Add stars and texture – Stamp the star from the Roll With It Bundle randomly across the panel and heat emboss them in white. To finish the background, flick white paint or ink splatters for added texture and movement.
- Die-cut the elements – Cut the main pennant from Powder Blue cardstock and stamp the bold “YAY!” sentiment in white. Layer it with the burst and striped banner, both cut from Sunflower cardstock, to create a bright, celebratory contrast.
- Assemble the layout – Adhere all the layered elements with foam tape to create dimension. Add loops of silver thread behind the pennant and include a small red heart with “PROUD OF YOU” embossed in white for an extra heartfelt touch.
- Add the finishing touches – Scatter a few silver sequins and gems around the card front for sparkle. Mount the finished panel onto the card base with more foam tape to complete the design.
