Hello crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a bright and beautiful thank you card using the Kingston Crafts Rainbow Foil Card, available now at HobbyMaker. This project highlights how you can achieve perfect colour coordination using a simple technique—and it features one of my favourite time-saving hacks!
Why you’ll love the Kingston Crafts Rainbow Foil Card
The Rainbow Foil Card from Kingston Crafts is a dream to work with. It has a smooth, luxurious finish that die cuts like butter and adds instant wow-factor to any project. Whether you’re going bold or soft and subtle, the wide variety of foil colours ensures there’s something for every cardmaker. Plus, it’s incredibly versatile for both die cutting and layering.

Why you need this in your stash
We all know how tricky it can be to find coordinating cardstocks for our layered die cuts. That’s where this kit becomes essential. Not only does the foil finish elevate your cards instantly, but the colour range allows you to match and mix shades with ease. And with my top tip using OLO markers, you can make it work even harder for you—custom colour your white cardstock to create coordinating elements that pull your design together seamlessly.
Card Inspiration: Coordinated Floral Thank You

Step-by-step instructions:
- Create the base: Start with a vibrant purple A6 card base. Trim a second piece of cardstock slightly smaller than your base and mount it using foam tape for dimension.
- Build your focal point: Die cut a large white circle using basic nesting dies. This will act as your base for the floral elements.
- Top tip: Use your OLO alcohol markers to colour the white foil cardstock. This allows you to create custom-coloured die cuts that perfectly match your card design. I used this technique for the pink flowers and green leaves to tie everything together beautifully.
- Add florals: Die cut your florals using dies from your stash (or something similar) out of your custom coloured card and layer them over the circle. Position the elements slightly off-centre for a dynamic look.
- Sentiment & finishing touches: Stamp or print a “Thank You” sentiment and adhere it with foam tape. Add a few sequins and splatters of white paint or ink to finish off the design.
