It’s Friday! It has been a long old week but I’m grateful for the weekend and plenty of time to craft. Before that though I wanted to join The Gentleman Crafters Design Team to share in a little creativity. Today’s post is featuring the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle which was released earlier this month. You can request a catalogue here.
Rainbow of Happiness Bundle
The Rainbow of Happiness Bundle includes the Rainbow of Happiness Stamp Set and the Brilliant Rainbow Dies . Mix and match stamped images with die-cut bows to create unique rainbows in your favourite colours. The bow-shaped greetings in the stamp set can be stamped on die-cut pieces for a unique look. The A Little Something to Brighten Your Day greeting is sized perfectly to fit on the tag piece in the die set. Add clouds and scallops to your handmade cards for extra texture and dimension. Also available in French and German.
As soon as I saw the rainbow & the little clouds, I knew I wanted to create a moody sky scene. I started with a base of Night of Navy Card and with the coordinating layer ink blending around the edge. Before attaching this to my card base, I added a little stitch detail around the edge of the card. I’m trying really hard to make stitching popular. I don’t know about you, but I just love the effect!
Once this is done then its all about die cutting. There is a combination of dies used for this card. Firstly I used the Brilliant Rainbow Dies which is part of the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle . The second was the Peach Dies for the little flowers. I love that once all the elements are cut out you are good to go. One element I believe is so important with die cuts is dimension. Ensure that there is a varied number of levels.
